Pretty sure you can touch the grass so long as it isn't grounded.

If they sighted the HDTV rule for Tiger last year, seems like that would apply for Freddie this year. Or at least it would if I was in charge.

i love fred, i hope he wins this thing. The knucleheads announcing on the online feed said it looks like he touched the hazard. I can tell my comp is lagging

This is true...the club has to touch the ground or a loose impediment in a hazard for it to be a penalty. He can touch the top of a blade of grass that's still planted in the ground without penalty.

Luke Donald was hit with a 2 stroke after the round yesterday. Left his shot in the bunker and touched the sand before he hit the next shot deemed to be testing the sand
