Federer has to play Tsonga next. Could get very rough for him, Tsonga's power tennis gives him fits. And then after that he has to face Murray most likely

Yeah, Murray should roll Chardy in three. Fed/Tsonga will be much more interesting.

Almagro just took the first two sets from Ferrer.

I think Djoker/Berdych tonight should be interesting. If Djoker is fresh it isn't interesting at all, but I'm wondering how much the Wawrinka match took out of Djoker.

Serena will steamroll her next round though.

I think so too. Did you see Serena vs. Kirilenko? Man, that was a bludgeoning. Serena is in top form, it appears.

Not trying to change the subject, but just moved back to BR and trying to figure out where to play tennis. I played 4.0 Kswiss in Atlanta so I'm looking for decent competition. Sorry to detract, just figured I would get more response in a tennis thread...

Almagro has the backhand working. Definitely going to be an uphill battle for ferrer. Almagro in 4.

He's been playing over his head. I think he comes back down to earth.

Ferrer breaks back. Still on serve in the third set.

Ferrer isn't gonna lay down and die. This much I know for sure.

Nothing. He is a machine yet perfectly clean.

He is just the baddest mf'er ever, but clean like Armstrong.and Bonds.

Tennis has a ped problem, but they are doing their best MLB imitation.

As long as you agree that it just isn't one or two guys.

So long as everybody is doing it -- and I suspect the majority of top guys probably are -- then it doesn't really bother me.

Yep, Djoke, Tispsaravic(sp??), Ferrer, Almagro are on the top of my list in order.

Suspect(ed) Fish(before illness), Querry, Nadal (only because the knee injury has lasted so long, maybe covering for a failed test???), and Murray who is huge for a tennis player. He is freaking ripped.

Probably many more too, but because most, or everybody does it, like cycling doesn't make it right and it actually diminishes the sport tremendously.

Djoke is no doubt cheating. But tennis will cover it as long as possible.

I wouldn't be surprised if Fed is doing something as well. He is 31 and has barely lost a step.

I suspect Djoker, Nadal, Ferrer, Monaco, Tipsy, Almagro, and Soderling*, among others, dabble in PEDs. And, yeah, Murray has gotten noticeably bigger the last year or two, which raises suspicions for him.

If there are two guys that I would absolutely bet my life are doping it would be Ferrer and Djoker. Djoker because of his improved fitness that came on all of a sudden was allegedly the result of him going on a gluten free diet. Color me unconvinced. Ferrer because he is 30 and is playing the best tennis of his life. And that just doesn't happen.

*The mysterious disappearing act of Soderling makes me think he got busted for doping and has been made to sit out.

The power and fitness of these guys is kind of unbelievable I must admit.

also kind of sad that we live in an age where if you're the best you are guilty until proven innocent, which is often times impossible.

ETa not saying i know that none of those guys did PED's, but can't some people just be freak athletes? I mean we are talking about some of the elite tennis players of all time, it only makes sense that they would have "other worldly" abilities
