Fed absolutely feeling it right now. Hitting some great shots.
If this goes into a 5th set I have absolutely no clue who wins. Murray been playing better the entire match, but Fed is more mentally sound when pressured than Murray I feel.

Hold on.
Fed just absolutely choked away his service game. He relaxed and did nothing on Murray's service game and then hit some god awful shots this game and got broken right back. Really poor showing from him. Could be the back breaker actually.

Boom Murray breaks back!

Fed just had a great chance to break right back, unloaded on a weak 2nd serve from Murray and then completely mishit the next shot well wide.

Roger missing shots he normally wouldn't. He had this game, but now adv Andy.

definitely, had 2 great chances to send this to 5 sets without a doubt. Just not converting, some easy chances too boot.

Federer had that game? Lol no.
Got every possible break and still lost it.

The game he was up 0-40 and could have gone up 5-2 in the set? dunno what you are talking about honestly.
Fed is just choking away huge points this set.

Oh thought you meant last game when Fed got lucky as shite 3 times.
Posted on 1/25/13 at 5:58 am to UltimateHog
I'd have to say Murray is getting lucky as shite more haha. But Roger is screwing himself.

Murray is serving up some weak 2nd serves and Fed is just slicing them right back up the middle into Murray's body, and he keeps challenging Murray's backhand defense, and making errant drop shots often times in situations where they are unnecessary. Fed isn't really unloading on any forehands or backhands, just a completely defensive match relying on the opponent to make the mistakes, and not even capitalizing on his own break opportunities.
All in all this has been a rather poor showing from Fed. The only positive from him is he is hanging tough and not giving up.

Up until that serve. That was pitiful.

Don't think you have anything to worry about with Djokovic in the finals. He should be able to take care of Murray.
This match does make me wonder if Fed truly has been passed by Murray though. He just looked old, not getting any power whatsoever on his shots or serves.

I was talking about some of those hit em high and hope they land in shots for Murray that have over and over so far, but yeah, he's handling Roger this match.

Agreed, Djoko is on fire. He's been my favorite player for a few years now.

Seems like it. Would have to see another couple majors of this same type of play from Fed to say.

Murray has hit some nice winners, part of it is Fed is choosing to approach the net at odd times not really closing down any angles. Fed truly is just not hitting any good shots really. He's sailing them long, or straight into the net all too often. Nothing really screaming down the court flying past Murray. Fed has had poor shot selection, the ill advised drop shots, slicing to Murray's backhand after weak returns from Murray etc.
Murray's aces and some of his forehand winners were nice. It didn't seem like Fed let loose this match though, I haven't really seen him take chances smashing forehands or cross court backhands. Fed hasn't really done anything to change up his return of serve this entire match either. Part of it could be him being old and not able to smash anything any more, but I feel he was just way too conservative this match and decided to play defensive.

Big time choke on 2 relatively easy points in the game.
Still have to question Andy's head.

Definitely, despite being completely outplayed if this goes into a 5th set I'd favor Fed.

Wow. Have to give Rog some credit. But I wonder where this guy has been most of the match?
