Monflis must be the must frustrating player to coach if he would only try

I ask why?
It's not really exciting seeing him play nothing but defensive, slice after slice. It seems like he has all the physical attributes in the world but decides on doing nothing but putting spin on the ball and slowing down play.
He has quickness like Nadal where he can get to any ball on the court but hardly ever comes forward and hugs tightly the baseline, and he has great power in his forehand and backhand but sadly he hardly ever unloads the power.
It's like he's trying too hard to defeat players with technique instead of using his physical attributes.

His animation on the court. Talent wise there are others far superior of course, but he's talented and 'funny' enough to want to watch. Something about his play and personality I guess.

Don't look now but Monfils broke him in the 3rd set to tie it up 5-5 and now Monfils is bouncing around and yelling having fun. Hes pumped up with some pep in his step.

He's entertaining with his mannerisms and his goofy/trick shots, but his game certainly isn't pretty

I wanted to go to bed but forget that I can't stop watching this match

4th set, the Kuku guy is starting to miss his shots hitting them into the net. Monfils is moving around the court better, even approaching the net. Should be interesting, momentum is all on Monfils' side.

Verbatim of what I was about to say.

Monfils up 2-0 about to serve
you gotta think, if he wins this set he would be unstoppable in the 5th. The better player, all the momentum, the Kuku player kicking himself for blowing such a lead.
