By pure randomness you can insert...whatever date, the last time the Jets and Bama lost on the same weekend...and the Jets could've gone 7-9.

Right, but that would be because bama doesn't lose that often.
Pick 2 teams that lose a lot and there's a higher probability that they lost on the same weekend because both teams lost on most weekends.
This really shouldn't have to be explained.

This will be the first year in the past 5 years that Saban hasn’t won a National Championship in alternating years that Belichick has won a Super Bowl.
