leaving Durant with a canvas with which to paint yet another masterpiece. Lebron just threw some watercolors at his and smeared them around a bit.

To a certain extent

no, championships are team stats

but in the NBA, it almost ALWAYS boils down to a single player on that team.

no, it doesn't

hell, it's debatable if durant had the best game on his team or was the most important player on his team tonight

. It is the nature of the game and how it has evolved.

no, it's the nature of sportswriters who believe in creating a narrative instead of analyzing the play of players

All playoff basketball games come down to the last 5 minutes pretty much no matter who did what in the first 43 minutes. Superstars step it up at the end of the game.....LeBron doesnt.

Did they lose that game? Because if they did, then I would say yes, he whiffed. By the way, good players whiff sometimes. Lebron whiffs WAY more than he should.

Slow,
Would you say that since only 5 players are on the court at a time then that means a star in basketball has more influence than a almost any other position in sports?
Just for fun

a large part in this is that people change what he should have done based on what he did, to ensure he fails

and yes, he was abysmal in the finals last year

You know as well as i do what separates say Tim Duncan from Karl Malone or Joe Montana from Dan Marino. Like it or not, that's how players are measured historically

opportunity

tim duncan would have 0 titles if he had to face those mid 90s bulls

dan marino never have the complete teams that montana enjoyed
