Pecora from Hofstra was a candidate last tme and I think he'd jump at this.

I have heard Josh Pastner from Memphis' name mentioned as well, but itd be really tough to leave Memphis. That job as one of the top 20 jobs in America IMO.

Didn't he sign a long term extension. His name was mentioned on NY sports radio but siad he was out of the mix

I think he knows he has lost a lot of support at Tech. I think he would be open to leave if the right school comes calling

Pastner already said he's staying put for right now. He would be dumb to leave Memphis for SJ, but I also think it would be mighty funny if he did leave.

Meh....

-Big East > CUSA
-New York recruiting > Memphis recruiting
-St. Johns has more all-time wins than Memphis
-Memphis has been to 1 more Final Four than St. John's
-Playing games in Madison Square Garden > The Pyramid

I don't think it is that big of a push imo

Can't believe that they would have a tough time finding a good coach. St Johns seems to be a program easily resurrected with the right coach/AD.
