Fair point, Med. I just go by my "feel". But if you look at it on a factual basis, it is hard to argue with you.

Are we talking Mets in April or September?? Seriously, though, you can't say the Mets are better than the Brewers (definitely not >>>>>) when they were the two teams battling for the wild card and the Mets lost out.

Over the course of the season...no, Brewers won the WC, so for this year they are better than the Mets.

but...the Mets did sweep the Brewers at home, and have continuously ownded them H2H the past couple of seasons..just sayin.

Love how quickly Cubs fans turned on Zambrano tonight with all the boos.

'Loveable' fanbase my arse.

A real dilemma here. I have to get up early in the morning, but I sure like watching the Cubs lose!

Gotta agree puttytat, Torre is a good solid coach. Things just got too complacent in NY.

Agreed. But the Mets lost a dependable starter in Maine and their closer, who is one of the best in the game

Which made the Brewers better than the Mets?

no..they gave him a standing O after his bat..and when he left the game...they know he did his job.

If the cubs happen to do something again thats descent tonight....keep the volume up and listen..it has a natural "boo" sound always on the tv...mic is in terrible place.

you're right. didn't go to a bar at wrigley. fenway either. wrigley is a dump outside. i expected WAY more. i understand that as cubs fans you have to get drunk to enjoy this but we had youngins with us and really, going into a bar packed to the gills w/ cubs fans didn't really entice me.

Hey...it happens.......both parties needed to part ways.....same with Manny and the BoSox......Dodgers just happened to be the beneficiary......I'm just glad we were smart enough to move on them.....finally a decent GM/Owner move coming out of L.A.

Down the stretch..of course.

you're telling me that not having John Maine and Billy Wagner wasnt going to make the Mets a 'worse' team than what they were before the injuries?
