Both of the games have been really good. Chicago is the better team, but Philly has played them tough and I expect them to win the next one. And another good note for hockey overall: that was the highest rated 2nd game in Cup finals history.

21% increase from last year. Hockey's popularity appears to be at its highest in the states in quite a while. This is especially encouraging given the rather limited reach of Versus (especially compared to the reach of a network like ESPN).

Btw, a 4.7 rating equates to 5+ million viewers and the 8 share means that 8 % of everyone who was watching t.v. at that time had the game on. Really good numbers.

Yes, NBC carried games 1 and 2. The next two will be on Versus. However, my comment was geared more towards the fact that the playoffs as a whole have been well-watched and the vast majority of those games have been on VS. It's great that the ratings have been so good. That should prove to be beneficial once the current t.v. deal runs out, but never put it past Gary B. to ruin things.
