His seat isn't that hot and if they shite the bed this season there is a nice crop of incoming QBs.

Have preseason games always been this horrible? Trying to watch Seahawks and Cowboys and it appears that Dallas doesn’t have a single starter on the field.

Can already see a slow start to the pats season that culminates in them going back to regular power run instead of this zone scheme after like a month and going on a run fueled off that simple switch.

Are we back to wondering what's going on with the OL? That stretch run they can't executive in the zone read is supposed to be setting up the throws off of it. The Patriots can still run inside but outside has been a preseason disaster.

We got Matt Patricia trying to be a dedicated OL coach and he's having to try his hand as, at least, part-time OC. Matt needs to be giving his undivided attention to these linemen for obvious reasons. Predicting doom for a Patriots offense that continues to look like they just don't get it isn't that hard anymore. They are playing preseason games like they're practicing.

I just don’t think they’ve adjusted or are adjusting well to the zone scheme. Every time they go power run or inside zone it looks a lot better. They’ve got good personnel up front, and they’ve pass blocked well so I think they’ll be fine. Usually takes a while for the Olines to sort out. Pats Oline was terrible to start last year and then rounded into one of the best lines in the league after a few weeks.

Also I think part of it is gamesmanship as the patriots haven’t really run much of what they’ve been running in practice. Going to be a lot more RPO and power read type stuff in the offense with more push down the field, and outside of a handful of plays, it hasn’t been shown in the preseason games

Definitely a disappointing level of execution by the offense in general throughout camp tho. Hopefully it doesn’t take them too long to find their footing

BAMA had an NFL offensive line coach Doug Marrone last season. He was not a good fit with what we were running. It showed all season and he was one and done. And he was a "dedicated" OL coach who knew his business.

We all have to be staring at Matt Patrica here as well. The guy just came off the defensive side of the ball. So yeah, how much technique can he teach and share about a new zone-read offensive scheme?

And getting rid of guys like Shaq Lawson was plain stupid for a new QB and new scheme.

No smart coach is going to show another NFL team what's coming. But Bill wanted Mac Jones to do well last night and kept him in, in hopes of at least seeing the offense jell somewhat. That didn't happen. I get this feeling this is going to cost the team a lot. Starting at Miami.

*Mason

And I’m not concerned with the interior of the pats Oline much. Strange looks good. Andrews is always solid, and omenwu is a beast. Takes time for the Oline to gel. They also do have Billy Yates as a dedicated Oline coach along with Patricia

Tackle is where it gets a bit dicey. Need big Trent to stay healthy.
