You're entire premise doesn't even pass common sense test. When was the last time someone had control of something but it just randomly moved?
The defender hit it and it moved, thus he loss control of it. Now if you wanna say he regained control it in the split second before he hit then that's one thing (a terrible argument also but that's separate). If you're gonna say he still had control of the ball when it moved without his intent then you're wrong.

Which is something I have never understood. I love watching dynasties. The only reason why I rooted for Texas against USC a decade ago was because I didn't want USC to be the first team to threepeat. I wanted Alabama to have that honor someday.
