I just don't agree that there's a correlation this year. Baltimore, Indianapolis, and Carolina are all weak underdogs incapable of winning their respective games. In the recent past there's been a much higher frequency of live dogs coupled with a higher frequency of weaker favorites.
Denver, New England, and Seattle are all very good to great football teams. It is unlikely (IMO) that any of these 3 will slip up this weekend.

Seems as some think trends have nothing to do with this years game. Did some more research this morning and dug up the Pats are 3-10 ATS the last 13 playoff games. I don't think this is done by mistake. Not that they can't cover this game just shows public perception is high on them for the most part and they lay a inflated line in the playoffs IMO.

I bought the 1/2 point. I'm on NE -6.5 in the first game. I have Seattle at 8/1 to win the SB so I will prob sit out the late game and pull for the hawks to win straight up.

Ravens +7... Don't think they'll win, but I like them to cover. Flacco has been incredibly underrated and I think the Pats already peaked mid-year.
Panthers +11.5 - way too many points for Seattle to cover but I do like them to win.
