Orlando and Atlanta both have pretty nice leads on the Knicks. The way the standings are right now NY would be looking at Chicago in the first round, which would be a good series IMHO. Chicago plays great team D though, and Noah would dominate the boards

They're 6th now, but I think they're probably better than the Hawks. It might be too hard to make up 8 games to pass the Magic though.

No chance they catch the Magic.

This was one game.

Throwing records out the window, they still might be the 6th best team in the east. Maybe 5th. I don't think they are top 4.

Almost impossible unless the Magic completely meltdown.

If the Magic play at the same winning% they have all year, I think the Knicks would have to go something like 23-2 to pass them.

I think they're better than the Hawks. Gilbert could always pull a gun on Dwight Howard, you never know.

I'd say they're fringe top 4. I wouldn't be surprised if they beat anyone in the playoffs although I don't expect them to beat the Celtics, Heat, or Bulls

I'm not the biggest Orlando fan. I was probably the biggest critic of their trade when they pulled it off, but Howard would absolutely dominate a series against the Knicks. IMHO of course.

I think the Hawks are better.

How many games are the Knicks out of the Hawks?

How can you possibly make this determination after 3 games...1 of which was a lost to the Cavs?

It's ridiculous.

You wouldn't be surprised if the Knicks won a 7 game series against Boston or Miami?

Damn.

One game.

Knicks are still probably the 6th best team in the East. The Nuggets got better through that trade.

We've seen wackier shite in the playoffs. I wouldn't be surprised if Melo and Amare went unconscious for a playoff series, no.

New York is:
12 behind Boston
11.5 behind Miami
10 behind Chicago
7.5 behind Orlando
4.5 behind Atlanta

However these numbers from nba.com may not have included the Miami/NY game, so adjust accordingly if it does not.

Do you think Denver is better today or just that they will be better in a couple of years? I can see the latter happening, but this year, their record should suffer a tad.
