Smaller schools don't have that and compensate with a slower style of play (which is more effective with a longer shot clock).
aka Butler 2010/2011

Meh, as I posted, this is only good for 12 more possessions for the game going from 35 to 30. If they went down to 24, it would be 32 more possessions per game, and then you'd really have a case there for affecting that style of play.

Your math assumes that every possession takes the shot clock all the way down which is just retarded.

Changing the shot clock to 24 seconds would be retarded. It works in the NBA because defense is all but banned. The last thing NCAAB needs to do is mimic the worst major professional sports league.

I obviously knew that's not how the game works "tom," hence why I called it fuzzy math previously.

I don't have the time to write a fricking thesis on the subject analyzing the average possessions and possible outcomes of this switch to satisfy your academic requirements, "tom."

That's pretty generous. I'd call it "useless math".

Still not addressing the timeout disaster? Great, love watching games when the last minute takes 15-20min with all the timeouts
