The Pelicans should’ve bought the rights for that nickname

I don't think they would've needed to

Tom Benson should've still had the rights to New Orleans VooDoo when the Hornets rebranded to the Pelicans in 2013

The fake BattleWings in NOLA didn't happen until 2015

ETA: Thinking back on it... I seem to remember being almost certain VooDoo was going to be it for that simple fact... the branding was established and seemingly universally enjoyed and would've been a fairly easy transition since Benson had the marks already

They came back in 2011… the name and familiar skull and bones logo trademark was owned by the AFL, which allowed Dan Newman and Doug Harrington to bring it back

If Gayle is running things there is no chance of the legendary Voodoo Dolls returning.

I would much rather watch the Arena league for entertainment than those garbage nfl replicas

I need to see this new Arena League to believe it… see if the financial side of it works

I’m still shocked that we’ve had the AAF, USFL, and now two XFLs all since 2019. At some point there won’t be enough quality players out there looking to play for film

the problem with arena ball is its too small and there is way too much scoring. points are so easy to come by, they are almost automatic.

It was like playing NFL blitz on N64, all you wanted was to have the ball last and score with no time left on the clock
