I love how people think Universities are just there for the football team...as if there aren't a million more financially important considerations as an institution.
Reminds me of University of Oklahoma's president from 1943-1968 telling the Oklahoma State Senate, "I want a university the football team can be proud of."

Yeah, $$$ talks. Big 10 payouts are way higher than the Big 12 and they can't defect for just one season.
