This is the first game all tournament they've played against athletic bigs.

THis is a perfect storm of an off night for Butler. It happens to every team in existence in this sport. Butlers night was tonight, and what a awful night that had to be.

I am not sure that UConn could lose if their players just walked off the court at this point.

Vanzant and Nored are far from soft. Pretty hard-nosed and gritty players
And Mack and Marshall. This team isn't soft. They have been one of the most physical teams in the tournament the last 2 years.
They just can't make anything.

Yeah but their bigs should just be ashamed of how they played tonight

We never played them.

No, they beat them by 3 or 4 points in the NCAAs 2 years ago.

This game looks like it s on track to be the lowest scoring National Champ game since 1949.

Who are Florida's athletic bigs? Macklin and and Tyus rely on their size and power much more than their athletic ability.
Old Dominion, Pitt, Wisconsin, and Florida.
None have bigs like Connecticut.

UCLA had a 20+ pt. lead on us (in the 2nd half) and actually had a better shooting night than either of these teams (in the 1st half).
All they had to do was put the game on cruise control once they knew it was over.
Posted on 4/4/11 at 10:22 pm to BayouBengals03
why didn't Mack just do this the entire half
