If you're a 1 seed and you hosted a regional, you host over the 2 seed in the super.
If it were two 2 seeds going at it, then the NCAA has a decision to make
exactly what I was saying to him
he doesn't believe me... why I need to see it in the rulebook

I found this on Wikipedia... read him the quoted part below... he still doesn't believe me
quote:
Super Regionals are played at eight locations throughout the country and consist of the 16 surviving teams, matched up by predetermined regional pairings. National seeds cannot meet each other in the super regional and are guaranteed to host. If the national seed in the bracket is eliminated in the regional stage, the super regional will be played at the higher seeded team's field. If the two seeds are the same, the Super Regional will be bid upon by the two competing teams. If the national seed wins the regional but is unable to host, the Super Regional is awarded to the other regional winner in its bracket. This scenario played out in 2015 when national seed Missouri State could not host a Super Regional because the minor league Springfield Cardinals, which have scheduling priority at the stadium where both teams play, were playing a home series at that time. The Super Regional was thus awarded to Arkansas.

From page 21:
Being that Minnesota hosted a regional, their facility was deemed appropriate and satisfactory of being a host. Unless they just decided that they didn't want to host the Super, they would host the Super.
quote:
Regarding the super regional tournaments, with the criteria listed in Bylaw 31.1.3, the Division I Baseball Committee alsofollows the additional criteria below:
1. Super regional competition shall take place at on-campus sites or alternate sites approved by the Division I Baseball
Committee.
2. Prospective host institutions must submit a minimum financial guarantee of $35,000, which shall be 75 percent of the estimated net receipts as submitted on the hosting proposal (online proposed budget). The $35,000 minimum applies toboth two-day and three-day super regional competitions.
3. Consideration for hosting shall be given to the higher seed if a suitable hosting proposal has been received (e.g., meetsfinancial guarantee and quality of facility criteria). If the higher seed has not submitted a proposal, the lower-seeded team will host if their proposal is acceptable.

his argument is the 10,000+ seating capacity at Alex Box would be too enticing for the NCAA to pass up
I'm trying to get that point across that seed trumps seats

UF gets 1 in
tying run on 3rd with just 1 out
ETA: walk loads the bases with just 1 away.. .big inning brewing for the Gaytors

The NCAA would absolutely prefer it to be in Baton Rouge, but as long as the 1 seed makes a suitable proposal, they get to host.
Like when the Cajuns hosted Ole Miss for a Super in the Tigue before they renovated. We had to bring in temporary lights and set up a deer stand for TV and we only held around 3500-4000 people compared to Ole Miss's 11,000 seat capacity at Swayze and in that case Ole Miss was a 1 seed that year, but we were a higher 1 seed.

John McCormack looks like grownup Chunk from the Goonies.

pitcher #3 does the job and the Owls maintain the 2-1 lead at the end of the inning

ouch... UF catcher takes a cup check from a foul ball
Posted on 6/4/18 at 10:16 pm to rt3
just feels like UF's gonna set up a rally in the very near future that FAU will have to buckle down and try to weather
Posted on 6/4/18 at 10:21 pm to rt3
that was it
and UF caught being hyper aggressive and gets the 1st out at 3rd base
instead of 1st & 2nd 0 out... it's 1st base 1 out
