NBA should follow the NFL's example: 3v3 half court tournament

Accept that it's never going to resemble an actual basketball game again, so stop trying to force one. Pick so many team captains, have a draft, keep it half court so the players might be more encouraged to make an effort if they don't have to run as much.

Say what you want about the flag football game, but it actually is somewhat competitive and I find it at least mildly entertaining. Pitting Peyton and Eli against each other is a great touch as well. There's no amount of pleading you're going to do with the players to convince them to try harder, and if you haven't been paying attention to their contracts, you won't be able to pay them enough either.

It could be fun, mini-tournament that night, both ends of the court.

They could even have the coalition of american corporations sponsor it and call it the "Brotherhood Tournament"
