I was 7-1 in the first round, but I'm sure most people were 7-1 or 8-0 since the match-ups pretty much went exactly as expected besides the Spurs-Mavs (the one that I missed).

I am going with the Lakers in 6, the Nuggets in 6, the Cavs in 5, and the Celtics in 7. The only one that I even have to think about is the Celtics-Magic. I think that the Magic look really awful right now, and they will lose to Boston even without Garnett. Perkins and Big Baby have also played better than I expected.

+1. although i wouldnt be surprised if the Hawks won 2 against the Cavs given how good they are at home and how they did against the Cavs in last years playoffs

Rockets have a legitimate chance at winning this series but the Lakers are obviously the favorite. Rockets play the way they did in games 1 and 6 against Portland for the whole series they will win but it's not likely they can bring that intensity night in and night out

If not for the Kings, what would the record look like?

And that point is still wrong, lol.

If you take the Kings record vs the East out, then you have to take out the Wizards record vs the West.

And when you do that, the East is STILL better head to head.

It boils down very simply to, the West is tougher to get through the playoffs with those top 8 teams.

But in terms of regular season play, the numbers pretty easily prove that from top to bottom, the conferences were at worst, equal.

since when do you get trophies for the regular season?

the fact is that the teams YOU are arguing over that make your "argument" are irrelevant now.

When discussing which CONFERENCE was better in the regular season, why would nonplayoff teams be irrelevant?

That makes ZERO sense.

As long as playoff teams played nonplayoff teams, they are very relevant to determining which conference was better in the regular season. I have no clue why you would argue otherwise.
