NBC did more in that clip production wise than ESPN/ABC did in 23 years.
The lasers etching the NBC logo, the music, the AI voice of Jim Fagan, the etching out of OKC and Houston, the aerials of downtown OKC, the ring ceremony, the national anthem; the younger players segueing into the veteran players into the hall of famers leading up to Ewing “Cue The Music;” it all worked and it was nostalgia overload (in a good way).
Mike Tirico is perfect for his role. He’s as close to the cadence of Marv Albert as there is. Everything is top notch and already elevates the overall NBA product.
