One of the worst MVP speeches I think I've ever seen. The dude is so emotionless at times it makes me wonder if he's on the spectrum.

Harden on pieces needed: "We were a half away from the Finals. I don’t think there’s a piece we need to bring or take away. We’re great where we are. Our focus is getting healthier.”

I hate LeBron as much as anyone but Harden winning over him is ridiculous. Paul was the MVP on his own team.

Lebron team only won 50 games in the pitiful east. it was a terrible regular season for Lebron. He let his locker room collapse. Hell he caused it. Can’t look at just the numbers bubba. This one was close to unanimous.

Paul was more important to the rockets than Harden. Hell if it was Harden who got hurt in the playoffs instead of Paul y'all most likely beat the Warriors

Very disingenuous to post season totals considering Harden missed time with a hamstring injury.
Per 36:
Points:
Harden: 30.9 LeBron: 26.8
Assists:
Harden: 8.9 LeBron: 8.9
Rebounds:
Harden: 5.5 LeBron: 8.4
TS%:
Harden: 61.9% LeBron: 62.1%
PER:
Harden: 29.8 LeBron: 28.6
And here's the big one:
Rockets: 65-17 #1 seed Cavs: 50-32 #4 seed

CC without Paul was still better than any team besides the warriors.
CC without harden ... probably only a 45-46 win team. They could’ve gotten knocked off before WCF.
there’s no one who watched the rockets play this year would even put the two guys in the same sentence really. They are on different levels as players these days.. Chris is past his prime and James is probably better now than Chris ever was tbt. at Least if you are a PER / WS kinda guy.
Chris is the perfect robin to hardwns Batman. Chris knew where his best chance for a title was. They gonna give it a go again next year. I can’t wait.

33 players in NBA history have won the MVP award.
James Harden is one of them.

Harden won the MVP in a landslide. He took 86 of 101 first-place votes. The 15 voters that had LeBron James first all had Harden second.
Was a wipe out. Just as b predicted. 85% of the vote.

People get hung up on this award because it’s called MVP. LeBron James is the most valuable basketball player on the planet going on 10 years or more now.
The NBA MVP award is a player of the year award which James Harden clearly deserved to win this year. He had the best season this year. Just like Westbrook, Durant, Curry, etc. None of them was “most valuable” in the true definition.
Harden is not in the conversation with Lebron when it comes to who’s the best player. He’s not even in the conversation with KD.

Lebron didn’t prove it in the regular season. You don’t win these awards based off reputation. You win them on result. Lebron has the worse d rating in the whole league past the mid point of the season. Was he loafing on purpose bc he didn’t like his team/teammates? Very very likely. Woulda been An udder joke for Lebron to win the mvp this year.

Boom - I didn’t say Lebron should win the award. I just said the award is for the “Player of the Year” which was James Harden. That’s a fact. I have no problem with him winning it.
Lebron is the most valuable basketball player on the planet regardless of what stat you throw out. That’s also a fact.
As for his D rating in the regular season. You can find something wrong with all players. Lebron James regular season effort, James Harden yearly playoff choke, etc.
