I think this is the case as well. Been hearing scuttlebutt that his "team" kept searching for doctor after doctor until one gave him a prognosis at odds with the SA team docs, then played on that to create this rift. That was in the works well before any comments from Tony or Pop.
Seems like dude was looking for an excuse to leave. His problem is his desired destination is our most hated rival (love you, WestCoastAg
). Anywhere but there, and we'd probably have dealt his arse by now. But hey we'll see how it plays out. We won't have leverage forever, of course, but he's done some damage to his brand no matter how you slice it, so he'd better be healthy and ready to ball wherever he goes. But the a-hole part of me wants the SA front office to screw the lakers and kawhi over at the same time
