No that guy tries too hard to sound like the cool guy.

If he truly thinks Gasol is a downgrade on defense from Boozer, then he doesn't watch much basketball

No, just not going to write someone off after 1 season. Not a reactionary like you.

I'm not familiar with that writer, but that makes sense.

That is basically my point. If you've watched Chicago play the last few years, it's painfully obvious that Boozer provides absolutely no help on defense and is actually more like a damn turnstyle. Gasol will actually help, he certainly won't hurt.

You act like im saying that's a bad arse deal or something.

I'm saying it's better than nothing, when you seem to think nothing is better

If it is, it's not by much. Someone will offer much more than that for Love before the trade deadline.

I don't understand the logic of the Cavs trying to trade for Love. It just makes absolutely no sense. They don't know what Wiggins/LeBron bring to the table so why would you not go ahead and try things out with this team. The Cavs as of now are better with their lineup than they would be without Wiggins/Bennett and whoever else they have to give up to get Love. It would give the Cavs two all-star forwards, a decent PG but nothing at Center and absolutely no depth on the bench. This is why the Cavs never win anything.

I think they should keep Wiggins, but SMH at this.

Irving is very good at PG. Not sure what you are shaking your head at.

What if Wiggins has a bad rookie season? They don't know what Wiggins/Lebron can bring, but they know that Love is going to be one of the two best PF's in the NBA before Lebron starts really falling off. Varejao is still a good player and they can keep him healthy by playing a lot of Love/James frontcourts. Miller is a solid piece and they would still have the MLE to use next season with players willing to take a cut to play with James.

I still think the depth of keeping Wiggins, Bennett and whatever else it would take to get Love would be better than losing them to get one guy. Then it would take a max contract to keep Love next year, which would cripple them even more. If the Cavs make this move, they need to win it all this year because the money it would take to tie Love up would give them no shot next season.

If they get Love they become the favorites next year.

If they don't get Love, who knows? They may eventually be far better for it or far worse.

And the fact that this is Cleveland and they are desperate for just one title, any title.

All makes me think they should get Love.

There are a lot of ways of looking at. As it stands now, neither decision is some kind of obvious no brainer.

If this is true (which I doubt it is) this is why the Cavs suck.

People saying Gasol is a DOWNGRADE on defense from Boozer shouldn't be writing about basketball.

Boozer is the worst, and I mean WORST, defensive player I have ever seen.

I don't think you guys got any worse, really. I could see him giving the Bulls a C because they didn't really get a ton better, but also they didn't get worse IMO.

He either has no grasp of how to defend, rotate or play team defense or he just literally gives no fricks about it.
