I mean really, what athlete does that? Not a 1-2 million pay cut, but 11 million?

Not sure he had any other options

Maybe before we signed Parsons, and even then we had an agreement with Stephenson if Parsons fell through

How awesome is Dwade for taking an $11 mil pay cut?

Dude is gonna go down as most popular player in south Florida history. Probably gonna surpass Marino.

Not as awesome as some guy named Dirk. You know, the guy who turned down a max contract and is only getting paid what 8.3mil/yr?

Well to be fair Dirk has made over 1.5 times as much money in the NBA as Wade. Dirk 200+ to Wades 120+.

And Dirk has been in the NBA 5 years longer, so that adds up. So what's your point?

Dirk had two max deal offers on the table and turned them down, while Wade took the highest offer he could get. Wade didn't take a paycut, he accepted what he could get his hands on. You still lose

This is what doesn't matter.

If someone has made more money than someone else, then losing out on that money means less to the person who has made more money. Not the brightest bulb are you?

all of this

Dirk's last contract was for far less than Max money, and this go around he turned down 2 Max offers to stay with Dallas for $8mm

You Lose Again

Hmm, Wade #23, Dirk #41 (That's awesome he is actually that rank) and that's only this year. You want to keep playing?

I think if you go add everything up from contracts to endorsements, Wade has made more money than Dirk
