There is going to be some poetic justice in AD demanding to be the man in a bigger market, only to surrender tons of money to be the third best player on his own team

I’ve been reading recently one of the reasons some of the things holding up big stars from going to Clippers is because of how they treated Blake Griffin. Drafted him and turned him into a superstar then gave him max money and told him he was the future then shipped him off to Detroit 6 months later.
Anyone else hearing this?

Haven’t heard that specifically but it wouldn’t surprise me
Players are more aware of (and sensitive to) shite like that nowadays than ever before.
I think the biggest thing holding the Clippers back is that they’re the Clippers, personally, but what do I know
Controlling the narrative is important. Lebron put out a very pro “This is a business and there’s a double standard with athletes choosing their teams and rabble rabble rabble,” post while he was using his sports agency to actively try and ship out every player on his own team.
But he “uses his platform” - whatever the frick that means - so nobody seemed to mind.

AD will have career numbers with lake show
.don't think you understand how much more flexibility he will have on to be an elite player when he doesn't need to carry the entire team
I placed my bet for him as mvp so get in early odds while you can

Of the league?
If Kawhi signs he won’t even be the runner-up MVP of the Lakers starting 5

Reporting w/ @RamonaShelburne: Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard have been discussing free agent scenarios that could include a future with them playing together. For now, there are two clear possibilities for them to sign into the same franchise: Clippers and Knicks. Story soon.

AD will definitely put up better numbers for the Lakers next season than Kawhi.... because Kawhi won’t be a Laker. That’s all media driven just like every star wanting to play for the Knicks is.

That woj post doesnt look good for the Lakers so its trash reporting, amirite?

Davis absolutely thrive by not being "the guy." He's going to put up monster numbers for sure.
