More than any other league, the NBA seems to have such head scratching hires. Who the heck ever thought Udoka was a good hire for Houston? Who ever thought he was a good coach?
And guys will be consensus great coaches for no damn reason. I swear I live in a fantasy land where people would fight you if you said Ty Lou hasn’t done shite.

I mean Mike McCarthy is still a head coach in the NFL based off 1 SB run.l lol.
It happens everywhere unfortunately.
But yeah the NBA really only has a few elite coaches right now that are consensus
Boston
OKC
Miami
Golden State ( for now)
Denver
Minnesota
Bickerstaff and Johnson at SA are little too new to count them in that category but are close. The rest of the league is pretty much mid to bad.
