I did not know the Middies were going to join that league, especially as a football only.
I do not like the move, as they have been in a conference before and left due to scheduling and wanting to keep certain games.

The AAC/former Big East, will be raided again by a Top 5 cartel member conference.

Erroneous. You may be thinking of Army and CUSA.

that happened like 2 years ago.

Wasn't that army? Also times have changed and scheduling is more difficult plus Navy needs the $$ because IIRC they are the only service academy athletic program that doesn't use federal funds.

not unless ND decides to give up independence and join the ACC as a full member in which case UCONN would be #16. If the Big12 decides to go back to 12 the I could see them taking Cincy and then bringing in BYU.

I probably heard that, but forgot about it. It is strange, especially since they "have" to play Army, Air Force and Notre Dame every year. That means they'll have only one regular season game each season that's "open" to any possible opponent. Kind of weird. At the same time, it should make scheduling easier, but it limits possible OOC opponents. Their schedule will become very repetitive.

Does SMU have a problem with this?
I find most interesting that Navy Athletic Director convinced the conference to joing the Western Division.
To play games in TN, TX, LA and OK

Does it really matter? They already play five games a year against C-USA/Sun Belt teams for recruiting exposure.
Moving into the American accomplishes that with better competition.

Sweet, a new set of defensive linemen to hurt from their low blocks.

Hopefully not for a while. I'd like us to elevate our athletic program so we'll be a good option when the next round of realignment occurs.
