National league should adopt the DH

Are the people who are against the DH in favor of one platoon football? That was the norm once upon a time. And honestly, I think most QBs would be better at playing D Line than most pitchers are at hitting.
And what’s with the leagues having different rules? Seriously, imagine if the Eastern Conference and Western Conference had different lengths for their three point lines. Everybody would think that was retarded.

Waiting for some responses about strategy. You know, deciding on whether to take out a pitcher when he’s throwing a perfect game, his team is up 1-0 in the top of the ninth, and his team has the bases loaded with 2 outs is the ultimate strategy, and we should love to see managers have to make this decision. Either break up a perfect game, or basically throw away a bases loaded situation.

Only way i could see a compromise, is if you start with a DH, but lose it when you make a pitching change.

I like where you are going with this!
Baseball teams should have separate offensive and defensive units! Nobody who plays the field should have to bat! Just like football! Cuz baseball and football are like basically the same sport!
And we could let baserunners intercept batted balls and all sorts of other fun things!

Pitchers hitting is trash- they all suck at it and it gives the other team a free out. Nobody wants to watch that garbage. Yes, there is strategy when deciding whether you want to pinch hit or not- there is also strategy on the other side in deciding how you want to get out an actual functioning major league hitter instead of some .500 OPS trash can.
Time for the NL to get with the times and make their product better.

I think if you play baseball, you should have to be able to play the game. Letting fat guys bat and not play the field is embarrassing. Senior Circuit forever.

How about when the QB throws a pick we have him run off the field and a defender comes in to stop the return? Since most QBs suck at tackling...

Eliminate the DH in all minor leagues. Eliminate it in college and high school. Eliminate it in little league. Let the pitchers learn some hitting fundamentals.
I remember back in the day some pitchers were good hitters - one of the best games I attended Joe Niekro go the GWRBI in the bottom of the 17th to beat the Cubs 1-0 in the Astrodome. Jauquin Andujar was a good hitting pitcher for the 'Stros.

If you are going mix sport analogies....then the AL is equivalent to the NFLs coddling of QBs.
