Another 3rd place finish again this week in fantasy. It's me, Bagger Boys and Blue Waffle then everybody else.

Damn it stop using that word!! It makes the threads less entertaining and no real discussion can happen!!

How could you ruin the flow of this thread?

We lappin’ The field like Harvick and Bowyer did in dominating fashion today. (See, I only spoke about the actual boring, rain delayed, mostly empty stands race that happened today!)

Going back to a stat I posted a couple weeks back, Daytona and Talladega have been only races this year not affected by rain.

Is Yates still making the Ford engines?

It's technically called Roush/Yates Engines but Doug Yates is the chief engineer builder. All of the Ford teams use them. The sport has yet to realize the impact Robert Yates had on auto racing (RIP). He's the best engine builder to ever get his hands greasy.

When when Richard Petty was going for #200 when Reagan was going to be in the stands, they got Yates to build the engine even though Petty drove Pontiac.

There is simply no one better before and after although it appears the old man taught Doug most of his tricks.

I did not know that.

So much for my rant about Smokey Yunick.

I still got a decent amount of Harvick, and Truex starts left. Hamlin and Logano are the two drivers I've used the most which I found odd.

The only two drivers I have under 7 uses left are Larsen (5) and Harvick (6) .... last year I was too conservative early and couldn’t catch up @ the end. I like this year’s format better (not just cuz I’m doing well) but you have more choices and risks you can take.

Take away the 40 bonus points you get each week from pickinh the winner I swear I would be leading.

Each week I take Busch or Truex and Harvick wins. The next week it's the opposite. I think I've gotten the race winner right once so far this season

I have now. I wsh they would have sold it before Brian fricked it up. (I bet they wish the same. It's probably worth half what it was fifteen years ago.)

the right mgmnt. could really inject some real excitment back into nascar..... no compression rule on engines, teams determine spolier size, etc........

I’ve only picked 4 race winners this year. Ha! I mean, if you pick Harvick or Busch, each week you have a solid shot considering they’ve won 7/11 races this year

I agree, nascar should be the pinnacle of stock car racing. Give minimal perameters and let the teams/manufacturers run wild. Bring back the brand identities, competition, and let the chips fall as they may...
