Myles Jack - Refs screw Jags is trending on the news and twitter

As incredible as that Myles Jack strip/recovery was, if the refs hadn't incorrectly blown it dead on the field that's a touchdown for Jacksonville and they win the game. Pats getting bailed out AGAIN.
quote:
There's a really good chance this blown call ruling Myles Jack down when he would have scored a game-clinching touchdown will be the most important play of the game and it will be hardly even mentioned. He was never touched after he gained possession. JAXvsNE #AFCChampionship
quote:
The refs just cheated Myles Jack out of a touchdown. How can you blow the play dead, but then give JAX the ball?????? What a joke lol
Since every play is reviewable or can be challenged?
Why are these refs playing by 1995 rules and blowing shite daed?
I thought the refs were instructed to obey the new protocol from like 10 years ago. Don't whistle anything dead after that Broncos disaster with Hochuli.

Good for the Jags!

I was very confused by this too. If they called it a fumble to begin with why blow it dead?

I think he would have been ruled down anyway. Wasn’t he in contact with someone when he was still on the ground?

stop crying about the penalties
Jax had a chance to put the game away all 3rd quarter, and majority of 4th, and did not have the QB to do it.

If it truly is all rigged then 2007 would have been New England winning with a perfect season and likely best team of all time to go along with best quarterback of all time.
Eli Manning 2-0 against Brady in super bowls. Greatest eva.

NY Giants being in the biggest market in the US I'm sure has nothing to do with it......

He didn't fumble. He was down and still had control before the ball fully came out.

He fumbled and then regained possession against his thigh.
At least that was what I saw.

Everyone is forgetting the pertinent question and strange dilemma in this call.
"How can you rule it a fumble on the field and change of possession but rule the play dead?"
He wasn't tackled.
And when he finally got possession of the ball he wasn't touched by any opposition.
Strangest call I've seen since the Tuck Rule game.
Go figure.

Very screwy the way it was presented on the field and the fact they didn't overturn the fumble after review.
I agree 100% but I never thought he fumbled the ball after he regained possession against his thigh. The refs totally screwed themselves there and doesn't help the fact many believe it is rigged.
I don't think it is rigged personally but realize that the Patriots put you in bad situations at the end of games with how they get the ball downfield and out of Brady's hands.
Jax was out played in their secondary. I thought crooks played a great game today. As did Amendola.

And this is a logical fallacy
Just because the Jags didn't win despite the penalties they didn't get fricked? Come on

Simple call really. He fumbled the ball but like regained possession with his wrist cuddling the ball against his leg. The ball was simply repositioned but not lost, never came out and hit the ground. He was down by contact after that point... the ball comes flying out after rolling over on the ground. One ref calls a fumble another another ref blows the whistle because he doesn't see it and figures the play is dead, at the point the whistle is blown the play is dead regardless if it was or wasn't a fumble.
If it would have been ruled down by contact they wouldn't have overturned it the other way, 50/50 ball. Each team took a hit, Jags should have got a TD, NE shouldn't even had loss the possession, Jags get the ball, they favored them. Plus 1 for Jax.
