they went to that after Boise hosted the tournament one year and the big arse Boise State logo irritated people

I'm not against a neutral court design, but maybe with a little local flare or color scheme to recognize the host.

Ain't gonna happen. We are stuck with these basic blue black courts for a while. Remember the fiasco of the big NCAA sticker covering the middle of the court a few years back when the players were slipping on it? Well they decided to purchase these generic courts where all they have to do us put down the white lettering using stickers on the baseline and the entire court is safer to play on.

They could always get new courts each year and donate the others to inner-city basketball initiatives.

They do. After the tournament they strip them and resell them.

Winner gets the FF court they won the ship on.

some of them play on them, others shred and sell.

here's the article. 1st round courts are stored every year, but Regional sites and FF get a brand new court every year.
