Most Deserving vs Best ???

Sorry if this has been said since yesterday but I just wanted to see if anyone shares my opinion regarding the selection of the CFP.
I’ve heard the arguments between best teams or most deserving. When does that question become all that’s discussed?
Imagine for a second that UGA won.
Does the committee push 1 loss Texas into the 4th spot ahead of undefeated Florida State?
I imagine the committee would then reverse the best four teams argument and use resume with all undefeated conference champs.

If we're picking the top 4 teams at this point in time why isn't UGA in? If we're ranking teams based on who's the best at this point in time when taking into account injured players or affected coaches, why is FSU still ranked 5 and why is Michigan in?

I personally don’t care what it is just stay consistent. Unfortunately the goalposts change year to year.

If 5 teams were in the playoff and Georgia was in it, I’d put the house on Georgia and they aren’t in it.
