Well if they were King guys then it will make my point moot. But if they were Arum guys it proves it.

We all hear how dirty King is and people claimed Butch Lewis was drug dealing scum, but Arum was suppossed to be up front etc. To my knowledge it is his guys largely fighting way past prime and/or starting own company to earn more money for self. I just think that Arum signed these guys to horrid contracts and now they are fighting past prime to make some money for all the work.

I know that they were King guys for at least a portion of their careers. But I don't remember them being Arum's boys at any point. I won't claim to know it all, but boxing is about the only thing I love more than college football, and I have kept up with it since the early 80's.

Personally, I think they're all pieces of shite (the promoters). But they are a necessary evil in the boxing world. Sure, they're snaky and manipulative, but we wouldn't see any good fights without them. Love/hate thing, I guess.

The only one I don't have sincere disdain for is Lou DiBella. But I'm sure I could find something about him that I detest.

I picked UD at 116-112 before the fight, and I agree with the 119-109 scores. I never figured it to be competitive past the 4th rd, but I still didn't think it would be that definitive. Floyd had Mosley trying to catch his breath the whole night. Very impressive fight for Money.

Pacquiao/Mayweather just needs to happen, period. Nobody gives a shite who is holding it up, why it's held up, it all doesn't matter. Just make it happen. The sport is built on Superfights, and if the two greatest pound for pound fighters in this era never lock it in than everyone loses. It's bullshite that it has taken this long, and if they don't fight within the next 2 calendar years than both of their stellar careers will always have that cloud of uncertainty over them.

Honestly I believe hes trying to get as many big names on his resume because hes gonna hang it up post Pacman.

Nobody is more obsessed with their legacy than Mayweather. Since 2006 hes had Judah, Hatton, Oscar, Marquez, and now Mosley. Critics can argue they were over the hill, too small, overrated etc. but in 20 years nobody is going to remember any of this. You add a Pacquiao win to that list and in his mind hes undoubtedly the GOAT with nothing left to prove. Retirement eminent if he beats Manny.

As for fighting Paul Williams, it would be pointless for him. PW has really nobody on his resume unless you want to count the human punching bag Margarito; and Winky, who's one of the most boring fighters of all time. Williams just isnt worth the risk to somebody like Floyd, and hes not a household name to the casual boxing fan.

Mayweather/Pacauiao will be two or three fights IMO. Fight, Re-match then if its 1-1 third fight. Might be the biggest paydays in boxing history.

Personally I hope it goes two fights, Manny ends his "legacy"

That would be an interesting fight. Williams has the reach and the jab to give Floyd trouble, but since Floyd would have the hammer in negotiations I am sure he would make Williams come down to 140. It would take Floyd a little longer to get comfortable, but in the end he would take Paul Williams. Just too polished as a tactical fighter.

Not sure about online, but HBO is going to show it this weekend (I believe) before the Williams/Cintron fight.

Also, it went all 12 rounds. Unamimous decision.

so I take it you never saw Mayweathers fight against Diego(I forget his name), the one that died in a motorcycle crash. Mayweather dominated him, and that guy was a fearsome, tall puncher.

I have not, but I'll try to find it online and check it out.
