Am I wrong in thinking we got over on Billy bean? Mateo is a great prospect who they will prob move to center. Kaprelian just had Tommy John and fowler had a terrible knee injury

Trading Fowler instead of Florial is genius.
Assuming Fowler comes back healthy, he's a ready-to-go major league outfielder in 2018. So in that way it makes sense for the A's too.
ETA: I still would have asked for Florial.

Big time trade for the yankees imo. They just trade raped Beane on this one. I don't understand why he took peanuts for Gray when he is locked in to a very friendly deal till 19.
