MLB 2017 CBA Thread

The CBA expires after this season and was thinking about what changes could be on the horizon. I imagine that 4 main issues will be looked at which are the following :
Revise Qualifying offer or remove it
Higher minimum salary
raise the luxury tax line
Put in measures to prevent service time manipulation
What issues do you think will be key for both sides and is there any worry of a strike?

Expand 25 man roster
Yeah, gotta make sure you have a relief pitcher for every batter to bridge the gap from starter to closer.

Every effort to stop service time manipulation will just result in a different type of service time manipulation.
Shortening the season should be looked at. Adding doubleheaders back in should be looked at. Expanding the roster by one player doesn't seem like a bad idea. Adjustments to the international signing rules are almost a given. They should do something to increase minor league pay, but I don't think that falls under what will be discussed in the CBA since minor leaguers aren't in the union.

If they add double headers they will add a man to the roster. Players wouldn't agree to it if not. I think if all teams play 5 double headers a year that's 5 extra off days or travel days a year. That's actually a good bit more to me.

The odd numbered leagues mess things up but there is too much interleague play if it only allows 2 series a year against teams in your league outside your division.
On second thought 72 games in division only leaves 90 so there aren't enough to do more anyway, so nevermind.
Maybe go hog wild, have 3 10 team leagues, 2 original leagues plus the oldest expansion teams, then 3rd league of the rest of the expansion teams, 12 x 9 in league = 108, then 18 3 game series against other 2 leagues, have a couple of home and homes permanently against best nonleague rivals, then swap back and forth with the rest, play everybody at least once every 2 years. top 2 each league plus 4 wildcards in playoffs
That's too much but the Dodgers and Cards ought to play more than 6 games a year along with a lot of other airs.
way too much change for the to do, just spitballing, for a long time there were 3 AAA leagues

I don't think much will be done this time around, but id almost guarantee an intl draft will be in place by the next CBA
