Also Shaq put up those same numbers a bunch a times. Im thinking Duncan did too. Was the media doing some overhyping?

I keep hearing this from the media but I remember Kobe going off for 48/16/4 against the kings in game 4 of the 01 playoffs. Shel what am I missing here?

Some quick facts.
Michael Jordan averaged 33.4 points per game in the playoffs over his entire career. Shooting 48.7%. 33.2% for three pointers.
He also scored 50 points in 7 playoff games.
Of the top ten highest scoring playoff games Jordan has 6 of them.
All while being a 9 time all defensive team selection.
Eta: forgot 6 rings how dumb of me.

Exactly, it is just a stat that you can minupilate to make an achievement look better.

The difference between the 4 and 5 is the only thing lol.

It's no different than getting credit for a triple double if you go for 12/10/10, but no triple double if you put up 38/17/9, other than the obvious exaggeration I made, but that was just to clarify my point.

I really don't understand why people think Kobe or LeBron even come close to Jordan. There really is no contest
