Grizzlies forward James Johnson has a huge neck tattoo dedicated to his prematurely born son, Naymin. He's also been a superb role player appreciated by Memphis fans, so what better way to celebrate Johnson than with a (temporary) neck tattoo giveaway?

The team will hand out free "GRIZZLIES" neck tattoos—which are really just stickers intended to go on fans' necks—to the first 5,000 fans for the Feb. 21 game against the Clippers.

For those that don't know who James Johnson is he was playing in the Dleague about 2 months ago. Since the Grizzlies picked him up they have had one of the league's best records.

He has blocked 18 3 pointers since the Grizzlies picked him up. He actually sent back 2 or 3 of Kevin Durant's 3s the other day.

Back to back 3 point blocks

Grantland wrote a great article about the guy nicknamed, "bloodsport." LINK

Oh and there is this

quote:

Johnson comes from a clan of warriors. His parents are black belts. He has eight siblings, and they are also all black belts of varying degrees. His youngest sister, about 10 years his junior, is working toward her third degree. He’s a second-degree black belt himself. His first MMA bout came at the age of 18. Johnson was declared the winner after 97 seconds. He’s fought a total of seven MMA matches and is undefeated. He’s 20-0 in all his kickboxing matches.

Memphis always has some of the league's best personalities on their team

I'd also take them in a street fight against any other team hands down
