Link? Basing this on what?

Payton and company ran a bounty program. This is a fact. It doesn't necessarily take away from his success, but it did happen. Everyone outside of Louisiana understands this.

Are six links good enough for you?

No, but 3 posts is, thanks.
I just hadn't seen the story, relax man.

Payton's accomplishments are more impressive. Unlike GB, New Orleans had absolutely no culture of success and winning.

The Saints staff had plenty of time to stop their program and gave a to the league and their own owner when told to stop the first time, hard for me to say they were scapegoated

This.
Anyone that is not a Saints slappy knows this.

I can't say definitively that one is better or worse than the other. Like you said they've both had stud QBs for their entire tenure. Saints were probably in worse shape when Payton took over, but the Packers weren't contenders when McCarthy got there either.

Considering the investigation started in early 2010 and the allegations were going through the 2011 season, it's common sense....but I'm not going to derail this thread over this subject, since it isn't the topic

I think that it's about as even as it gets. I tend to think that Payton's offense is more innovative
This....I actually had no idea just how even their resumes are

Which totally explains why guys who weren't on the team during that time were suspended.

And why when pressed to present actual evidence to the bounty program, the NFL reduced all player suspensions and settled immediately.

I say McCarthy by a hair. He's handicapped by one of the worst GMs in the entire league. Obviously having Rodgers is great, but the rest of the team is average at best.

Payton has never lost a home playoff game.
