once he clears waivers, if i am not mistaken i think someone can pick him up for the minimum with seattle paying the rest. my guess would a team on the verge with nothing to lose, like a minnesota or oakland, a team with good coaching, that could maybe fix that swing a lil bit

yep only having to pay him the prorated 390k with the potential of him coming back into form is pretty enticing. Dbacks maybe?

who needs a 1B that strikes out 75% of his AB?

A's have Barton and Thomas so not a great fit.

I'd think Dbacks as opposed to signing Barry. Maybe SF but no pennant race might make it unneccesary.

probably no one. But for 390k and a guy of his past numbers, someone always seems to take a flier.

I know the Marlins want him. Mike Jacobs is a black hole against lefties. Sexson could possibly be an upgrade.

The Braves. Trade Tex and sign Sexton to finish out the season as some protection for Chipper.

Why would the Dbacks want sexson? Their hitters already strike out wayyyyy to much. Thats why Bonds would be a good fit there cause of his OBP.

As bad as Jacobs is at times hitting...he's still batting 30 points higher than Sexon...so just imagine how bad Sexon is right now...

I can almost guarantee you Jacobs isn't batting higher than Sexson against lefties.

I think the Rays could be a possible option, being that they want to bring in power, and don't want to pay or give up any talent.

They have Conor Jackson doing pretty well at first... I don't know if he can move to RF? Wouldn't work well as a platoon either with both being righties.

Twins seem like they could be a good fit, using Sexson/Morneau as the DH/1B but that would mean either Kubel or Span sits the bench. Could be a platoon situation as Kubel and Span both hit lefty.

What about the Blue Jays?
