You could have added some context to this. He has an opt-in clause for 18M next season, but he has to pitch 140 innings to get it. He pitched 154 last season. Could he get 140 innings as a relief pitcher? If I'm him, I want to start too, even if it's on a horrible team (if he can force a trade) cause he's not likely to get 18M as a FA next year..
