My mom and her family are from Shelby, Mississippi and my dad and his family are from Anniston, Alabama. All my grandparents and aunts and uncles use the n word. I've never heard an adult say it to a black person in my entire life on any state I've ever been in in my entire life.

Know how I know you're full of shite? You're from Mississippi and an Alabama fan that has "never" heard a black person called the n word. Right.

Why is Kelly Hines trying to start shite? There is literally no way it was racial! Why would it even enter her mind?

Ok, then why would it be more understandable to you if it happened in a restaurant? If you've never heard it before then it shouldn't matter where it takes place

No there's isn't. If a guy falls at your feet during dinner at a restaurant nobody is gonna mean over and yell "get outta here cock sucker!" But at a basketball game, well hell yeah sounds like a great idea.

So at dinner people aren't able to verbally use certain words??

I never said that. I've never heard it in person. What's the last sporting event you were at where someone yelled hey you're a n word?

This and the fact that it "blows his mind" that some people would think a crazy fan could let the n word slip out his mouth at a basketball game

I've heard it at high school events in predominantly white communities. Less of a calling them the n word. More so of a remarking at another team being better because of the n word loud enough to hear.

Jesus Christ man. What I'm saying is if I see a black guy shove an old white guy at Applebee's I'm gonna think, man, he might have called him something racist. Because there isn't too much to call someone at Applebee's. Nobody says hey sir, I fricked your mother and you shoot like a girl.

But at a basketball there are endless known saying to piss off the players. Endless.

Fwiw, I've only heard it one time. Drunk Saints fan called Aaron Brooks that after an interception and wanted a white quarterback. What a moron.

Never heard it in another game and Brooks was way beyond that guy a d didn't hear it.

No shite, I understand all that.

I'm just saying it's not insane to think that someone could have said the n word at a basketball game

Yeah, I've been in student sections and heard the word used. Most people immediately berate the idiot who says it though.

I have season tickets for basketball for a school in Illinois. I never hear any insults toward players (except very mild from the student section towards a star player). Most fans yell or boo refs then cheer their team. Taunting college kids is not acceptable when not in college yourself.

I don't think it's insane, I think it's ridiculous. And if we went by odds I'd have to bet it was something rude about his game with some vulgar words added in.

Saying it to someone else intentionally loud enough for that person to hear is no different.

I agree. And I still doubt he elbowed his wife, and basically yelled something racist to, well who knows?

There's a black lady right by him.
