No.

I'm not trusting that Manny will keep this up through all of next season, with the other options the Dodgers may be able to have at left field.

Let the Yankees overpay for him.

This could also be Nomar's last postseason at-bat.

For some reason, I don't see that happening.

I could be wrong, but I think the Yankees are going after CC, not Manny.

They jumped around much less than the Rays and Red Sox did when they won their ALDS series.

Good site with regard to the Dodgers- cant vouch for it's accuracy

quote:

acquired in trade from Boston 7/31/08, with Red Sox paying remainder of Ramirez' 2008 salary (about $7M) and agreeing to eliminate 2009-10 club options in exchange for Ramirez not exercising right to block trade as 10-and-5 player

But good news for Dodgers fans-
Furcal's 13 million is off the books
Maddux's 10 million is done
Kent's 9 million is done
Nomar's 8.5 million is done

LAD payroll

I'll pull for the NL and the Phillies.

The only time I ever went for an AL team in the WS was in 2001 when I wanted NY (the team I hated since I was a kid, the Yankees) to win for emotional reasons. Can't say I was upset when Arizona won, though.

He said the same thing last year with Jones, he only got a 2 year deal for $36+ million deal.

LAD will go after CC, first.

I'm 99% sure those options got removed when he was traded. Yankees won't go after him, they have way too many OFs/DHs as it is. They WILL break the bank for CC though and it wouldn't surprise me if they try to overpay another "great" pitcher like Burnett or Sheets. I also see them making a play for Teixiera...pretty stupid, but I think they do it.
