Utah could not win every week in a stronger conference. They played perfect against Bama, but had close ones against TCU (good team), New Mexico and Michigan. Undefeated they are, but not worthy of a national title.

not sure what that means. But I am pretty sure TCU and Bama will be ranked in the top 10 next week and Oregon State and BYU top 25

If there were a split, would you say that USC, Texas or Utah would be more deserving.

Million dollar question.

Don't know. I could make an argument for Utah as being #2 behind the Florida/OU winner.


ETA: I can't see how they could jump the winner of that game to get an AP title.

ah we were talking apples and oranges, I was looking at time of game, your saying final rankings.

which is more relevant. If a team sucks and we didn't know it in September, a team shouldn't get extra credit for it.

And if you want to go further, against Bama, UF was missing one of their best players, and against Utah, Bama was missing one of their best players.
