LSU is not paying for the buy outs or the coaches. The Boosters are paying most of it or all of it

I love this cavalier attitude. Obviously it’s not your money, unless you buy tickets and attend sporting events and donate money. But if you care about having a winning team, you might wonder what kind of crazy roster all that money could buy. Players also cost a lot, and I imagine our boosters don’t have infinite funds.

this makes no sense written this way or is very misleading.

Coach O fired in 2021, Kiffin’s contract is a 7 year contract starting in 2026

So LSU is paying $162M in total coaching salaries from 2021-2033 (13 seasons)…and Kelly’s buyout reduces if he gets a new job. It’s still not great but not so extreme
