Yeah Magnolia always had some big talented guys, but weren't really coached up. They beat us for the first time in a long time my jr year in 2002. Had some big ole boys. I remember they had 2 brothers with the last name Rucker that were grown men.

Haha trust me I know exactly what you mean about the border situation. If you tell somebody from south Louisiana you are from Haynesville they tell you aw hell thats Arkansas that ain't Louisiana lol. My family has always been huge LSU fans and majority of folks from Haynesville are, but there are a few Arkansas fans and I'll see the occasional jackasses wearing Bama gear....makes me wanna puke.

The Ruckers were badasses. Marcus, the RB graduated in 03' or 04'...got a full ride to Rice. Dude also had like a 30 on his ACT. Good, smart kids. The coaching in Magnolia has been atrocious for decades. They hung on to the same guy for like 20 yrs...dude had the worst strength and conditioning program I ever saw. It was literally just Bench, Squat, and Power Cling...nothing else.

They also had zero innovation, finally went to Malzahn's Springdale High School games in the mid 2000s and tried to copy his offense...they had one or two good years then back to mediocrity. Finally fired the dude a few yrs ago.

I guess there's just no money to pay great coaches in South arkansas like wht they pay them in Fayetteville area. We all have vastly superior athlete s in that region, but can't do shite. Fayetteville is basically all white.

One of my dad's friends coached at Haynesville for just a couple of years so we went and caught the magnolia game since magnolia was a common opponent of Eldorado. This was when eldo was starting to roll so we weren't really worried about magnolia but wanted to check them out anyway. Magnolia had more size, but Haynesville had swag and athletes out the arse. Some of the best high school dbacks I've ever seen. We were so impressed we've went back 2 more times just to watch them play even though the coach we knew moved on. Also Haynesville fans really seem to hate cedar creek whoever that is

I thought Haynesville really hated Springhill, or N Webster or whatever the hell its called now. I always thought that was the big rivalry game. I actually went to one of those games a few yrs back, it was pretty packed. I've never heard of cedar creek.

Homer is where it's at. You go to that game and there will be people there tailgating before the high school gets out. Yeah wasn't that day? Heard he was a shite coach pretty much everybody laughed at magnolia when he was the coach

Haha nah we don't hate creek fans. They are a private 1a school located in Ruston. I don't think they've ever beat us, but they are always salty as hell and give us a good game. They have become a district rival here lately. Our old rival is Homer, but Homer has been through a rough patch the past 5 or so years and have gone through head coach after head coach. Rivalry isn't what it once was. The new rivalry is North Webster (Springhill), and hopefully we continue to play Junction City as well.

Yeah I went and watched north Webster and Haynesville whenever Devin white was at north Webster. I feel like half the skill players for Haynesville could've played college ball. I never knew Haynesville played junction. How did I miss this? That seems like it would be a great game.

Devin White was a beast! Yeah we played Junction the past 2 years and both games have kept everyone on the edge of their seat. Especially this years game. Haynesville scored on 4th and goal from the 2 yard line with just a couple of seconds left in the game to take a 30-26 lead. Great game that was back and forth all night.

We have a couple DB's playing at the next level. James Jackson plays safety at La Tech. Jerrel Jackson played at Hawaii then transferred to Tech. Think he got dismissed from team and is at a jr college right now. Their cousin Kendrick Jackson is the FB for Arkansas. Very good blood line.

Still Can't believe White got swindled into playing LB by Miles. Dude would've been an abolsute stud at RB. I saw him turn a corner on a defense and leave them all in the dust time and time again. I think Bert was basically the only guy who wants him as a full time RB.

He's actually a badass LBer as well. Lsu is thin at inside LBer so he will get the full time starting role next season. It was actually White who told Miles he would play whatever position that would help the team more and get him more playing time.

Yeah I saw that safety a couple years back he was the one that hurt himself I think his first year at tech because I saw him when I watched Devin.he was in an arm sling wearing a tech jacket. Kendrick was the man too. I watched him when he was in high school, I wish Arkansas would start recruiting Haynesville more, but for whatever reason, junction guys go to Arkansas and Haynesville guys go to lsu. Guess it's the invisible line thing like you said . My mom taught at Hayesville in the late 90s. She taught some guy who went to lsu then to either the Eagles or packers. He had a brother or cousin in the league too. Can't remember his name but I think he was a dlineman

Honestly, I think tech us gonna do great recruiting south Arkansas and north Louisiana. Kenneth Dixon was a great running back from strong who got over looked by Arkansas because except for a select few schools they refuse to recruit guys below the 4a level.tech is getting a receiver this year from a small school called Lafayette county in Arkansas and I think he cod be a real good one. 6-3 205 4.5 with no type of training 100% raw. And Trent Taylor was a major steal from Shreveport as well. It's like it's an area of the country that unless you're a can't miss talent like agim, patterson, or white no one wants to recruit.

I honestly think we might have done the same because we signed so many good running backs this class, and he was good enough to play both. As proven this year when he was at lsu

The Haynesville kids are gonna hit you in the mouth and not back down. They have an excellent program over there. I've wondered myself just how they do it?

Homer hasn't been the same since all the Casey boys graduated. Incredible how far they've fallen off.

As someone that has sat in that visitor Haynesville locker room 0-40 at half. (Bobby Ray Tell was good)

I was told the football team took about 3 classes off a day from 6th grade just to practice lol

I don't believe it but fun story. Also was told the highschool teaches the grade schoolers
