that's like saying i only watched the Tulane-Tulsa game and saying they suck hard. UL has played three pretty solid games vs. Kent St, FIU, and OK. St. I believe Hud put more points on the board than A&M & Zona could manage.

ULL went to Kent and FIU and beat them both at their place. Tech allowed Keenum to do his best Frank Reich impersonation and shite all over them at home. If your best wins are near losses, you suck. ULL has a much better resume than any other team in the state not named LSU.

UL hasn't lost to ULM since 07 or so.

that is debatable but I was not talking about resumes .. I was ranking teams ... We will see how it plays out at years end ..

Glad to know that 30 point blow outs are solid games ...

Too bad that they make them play defense and special teams in college football. Bad logic anyway ... Since tech put up more points against MSU than LSU and Tulane put up more points on UAB than Florida ..

how about this logic 3-1>>>>>>>>>other LA teams

based on what? Your own wonderful football intuition? It's kind of difficult to rank teams appropriately if you don't look at what they've accomplished, or haven't in the case of LaTech and ULM, who are still searching for their first wins over an FBS team.

Right ... they are 5 - 5 the last ten years and ULM holds an 8-6 margin the last 14 years ..

and none of that backs up this gem:
you're an idiot.

precisely
Just based on what I think would happen if they played head to head ...

Then I have no reason to continue this debate. Good night.

You actually think that ULL would beat Tech if they played tomorrow
Posted on 9/26/11 at 10:51 pm to threeputt
quote:
1) LSU - light years ahead
2) tech - should be above .500 at year end
3) tulane - about even with tech
4) ulm - a lot behind the top three
5) ULL - close to ulm
Sure Tech played some big-named opponents to close games, but their only win came from an OT thriller against FCS Central Arkansas. They are still 1-3.
Tulane- come on, man. Really? You talk about the Nichols game in Lafayette, but what about that Southeastern game in the dome earlier in the year for the Greenies? Giving up 33 points? And then losing by 3 td's to a team that lost to Richmond? Their only impressive win is against UAB, and that's not saying much considering the fact that they are ranked in the bottom 10.
ULM- Where to begin....all I'll say is that UL(L) has a three year streak on them right now.
ULL- Let's see...two road wins against teams that were picked to beat them in the preseason (one of which received a few top 25 votes). A decent win against a Nichols team (no OT or giving up 33 points). A 61-34 loss at #7 Ok State, who debatebly has the best offense in the country. Not to mention has given up the most points TO ULL so far this year. Not to mention a 3-1 start and a top 60 ranking.
Where's the logic in all of this?
Posted on 9/26/11 at 10:51 pm to threeputt
I can't predict the future. But ULL has already beaten a better team than Tech. They are improving each week. And they now have their best offensive player back, while also finally settling on a starting QB.
I don't know as much about Tech's personnel, but they don't have a player as good as Ladarius Green.
ETA: ULL also has a more big game tested HC than Tech.

If UL plays like they did Saturday I would guarantee it.
