Tiki Barber had some solid comments on why he thinks the slide is happening.

TL;DW version: NIL is spoiling guys like Sanders and taking away the “grind” that a young guy needs to succeed in the NFL.

The NFL's racial makeup makes it clear to anyone with a modicum of common sense that race is not an issue.

ETA: The truth is that no one is confident that Sanders is good enough to justify the baggage - he doesn't have just ego he has narcissism, and an even more narcissistic dad that no one wants to deal with.

No one gets to see the team interviews either. If he came in entitled and didn’t perform in the whiteboard sessions, then that would knock in off some more boards.

I imagine the spin will ultimately land on the "the NFL is scared of change and a strong black man willing to stand up to them" to downplay his clown shite in interviews.

I stated on this board years ago that NIL would ultimately ruin the NFL due to the entitlement generation that we are raising. Couple that with the NFL capitulating to every woke movement imaginable, this is a perfect storm.

I'm so glad I quit watching the NFL. It will only get worse as the league is infested with this. Couple that with the blatant game fixing, and this product will be WWNFL in no time.

While I completely agree with your takes, to say the NFL is fixed is a stretch

That plane has already landed. 100% of the takes I’m seeing in twitter.

I'm not on Twitter, so I'm glad my prediction was correct.

I agree to disagree with folks on this issue.

The favoritism for a certain team that is supported by the world's biggest pop star, specifically in the playoffs, is beyond the pale. I have several friends that are now on board with this theme after the Texans and Bills games last year.
