Did a check on the USSSA site just out of curiosity; 7 of the SLC team play for the same travel team (Lake Area Pirates). The Fontenot kid is listed on 3 rosters during the 2008 season, looks like a hired gun! Wonder how many will be burned out before the end of high school? (happens all the time)

same is true with the Lamar team. Most of them play in 12 Majors in USSSA Texas South.

That is the one I knew about. From what I was told, his dad was going to put that team together for the run this year. Hired gun makes it sound like they are breaking the rules, which they arent. They just sign up to play in that league (little league) only when they are twelve, as opposed to moving up in it like we did. They all still have to live in the restricted area, be the appropriate age, etc. Its probably the same group of kids that would be on that team if there wasnt all of this travel ball tournament teams now.
