Nice win tonight vs. Belaire. Granted Belaire is horrible and they should have won, but LO won a game they needed. Now if they can upset Ist. next week they could make the playoffs.
Funny moment tonight. The running back Hughes' older brother was in the stands, They line up with 3 to the left a fb deep, and 1 wr to the right. The brother starts yelling something along the lines of "Are you serious, your going to throw on first down again, what are you thinking" shite was funny, I mean hell I was thinking the same thing too, but you all have heard the old saying "It is better to not say anything and not be proved a dumbass, then open your mouth and remove all doubt" So as the brother gets done yelling and b******g, is about when the ball was snapped, Bell drops back 2 steps hits the slot, who then hits another wr downfield for the score. It was a nice play, but even funnier because that jackass was complaining about them throwing on 1st down. It was good shite.

Live Oak had a weaker schedule with Riverdale and Lee on it, so they got screwed i think.
My senior year would've been a total waste of my time if we wouldn't have had Hannan, McKinley, and Riverdale on the schedule. We beat Denham that year for the first time in school history, so I was proud to be a part of that.
I'm not like all the other Walker homers that "hate" every damned school in the Parish. I'm glad DSHS and LOHS are doing well. It looks good for the LP as a whole. Is Springfield still relevant in 2A?
On a side note, the '01 game vs Lutcher when the Bulldogs were ranked #6 in the state (3A) was probably the biggest thrill for me during my career at WHS. We beat them 6-0 in OT. That was my 2nd start on the varsity squad, a week after I was thrown into the starting position for an injured center. That game--vs McKinley--our starting left guard went down, so I filled in for him the following two weeks.

That was a good well executed trick play and a great catch downfield by a two way player & just part time receiver.
Adam's just a man a Tyler could be a D-2 QB if he tried

Being close to the kids, I appreciate your support. Stability at coaching, etc. will help bring the program along. I thought the offensive game plan was good and well executed and there were no turnovers. #56 got hurt on D, but I think he'll be ok.
Roddy's ok

At least they feel the istrouma game has meaning and I hope they play well.
im sure coach has a suprise or 2 for us.

Last year, they beat Istrouma 28-22 with a 30 yd TD pass from Bell to Allyn and three Colletti TD's (incl a 80 yd kickoff return) with no fumbles, a well executed game and a big pic by Dinecola at the end to ice it.
Denny got laid that night too.

The D played great too, with Price and Diodne and LeBlanc leading the way. Price served as a big blocking back for Colletti on the key 4th qtr scoring drive even had a key carry. That game got Price & Colletti District MVP honors and helped Bell and Allyn get all-district too.

You're a good man. I am primarily a LOHS fan, but hope Walker gets competitive and wins games soon. you have to root for all parish teams in every game, except of course when the others play your team. Hopefully Walker will turn the corner and win 2 or 3 at least next year. DSHS and LOHS are improved, Albany is really struggling (1 win this year). The Walker losses are so lopsided though. When LOHS loses, it's 35-25, 22-16, 31-24 and they'll learn to win more close games. LOHS is 4-4 but have been competitive in all the losses - had Zachary on the ropes man!!! Springfield is mediocre this year, have lost three studs from last year to the Southestern Lions, and a borderline playoff team this year. LOHS beat them in OT the first game of the season this year 32-26.
The whole rivalry aspect is blown out of proportion at times. I have a good bit of friends from both Live Oak and Denham Springs. The rivalry thing is fun when you're in high school, but leave it at that. Some people tend to go above and beyond the limits and it causes more tension in the communities than it should.

I am curious of who you are now? I was about 6 rows in front of Hughes brother. How close was you to him in the stands friday?

Yea, the Hughes family, including the older brother, are terrible.
Posted on 11/5/08 at 5:53 pm to CodyPasbons
I don't think they are terrible, I just think that they need to tone it down a little and stop trying to be so damn hard, becuase I promise you I could take them to some places in the city where if they talked shite or hell even looked at a person wrong would get their arse kicked
